How I Built This SiteThis website (provenwoodworking.com) evolved because of my love for woodworking and the desire to share that passion and knowledge with others. As you may know, I've been involved in woodworking for over 37 years. Woodworking grows on you. The more exciting projects that you build, makes you want to do even better on the next one. Yes, the first project (cabinets for baby clothes) was not professional, but the molding on the drawer fronts made it presentable. Of course, reading several books on various woodworking techniques and equipment, watching videos, and participating in Forums on the internet helped. Along the way, I made a couple of router tables. Each one added some features. These were sold to fellow woodworkers, who did not have a clue how to make one. Even though they had more experience, they were content with basic projects. That is, until they saw my router table and jigs. That started a dream. Should I share some tips and techniques that I learned over the years? Can aspiring woodworkers learn how to make projects that get admiring glances? Would they like to save some trouble and some money? On the Woodworking Forums, I noticed that some people had their own website. However, they seemed to be just for family and friends. Why would you create a website for your family and friends only? Would it be nice to share with anyone who is willing to listen?
You wonder… how do I do that?
There are many obstacles to overcome. In researching the internet, we want to find a proven method (a name is born: "proven woodworking"). We need results, don't we?
Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome. Booker T. Washington (1856 - 1915)
The Beginning of My Life
The picture is my Father (lower left) and I. He was an inspiration to me over the years. As president of the Indiana Optometric Association, he was responsible for the start of the Indiana University School of Optometry. I attend a dedication ceremony at IU, unfortunately after my Father passed away. That inspiration has continued, and I hope to give you some of the same. The Beginning of Proven Woodworking.comI found a program that answers all of these questions. It is the only one that provides true results. Proven Woodworking.com began in November of 2006. It became a new and exciting venture. Surprisingly, building a Website provides fun and enjoyment. Moreover, it allows us to make some new friends. In addition, we can earn some extra money to help pay for our website.
Do you want to Change Your Life? Should you share your passion or interests with others? You can learn how to take your Passion or Interests to build your website. Also, you can see Proven Results from people just like you and I.
Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did. Be sure to Drop me a Line if you have any ideas on how I can improve your experience. Thank you for your interest in the creation of Proven Woodworking.com.
